Day 13: Hair Tips (Curly, Straight, Wavy)

There are so many different types of hair; short, long, thick and thin! Curly, straight, and wavy. Oily, dry and possibly porous! There are different ways to handle all these types of hair, and ethnic hair is a whole other story! Today I am going to find ways to tame and make beautiful the Curly, Straight or Wavy types!

Wavy Hair Tips:
  • Work dry shampoo through hair, this will give volume and soak up any greasiness
  • Add a little texture balm, less is more. Too much of this will weigh the style down
  • Flip your hair upside-down and scrunch it using a spritz of spray gel

Curly Hair Tips:
If you have naturally curly hair, it will look best shoulder length or longer. Adding a few layers about an inch or so shorter than regular length will make the style not look so bottom heavy, dispersing the curls through the whole hair. Do not make layers too short or it will make the style look poufy instead of lay naturally with perfect length and coiled curls.

Straight Hair Tips:
Straight hair can be extremely stubborn and not want to work with you.
To add more volume, blow-dry hair with a round boar's hair bristled brush, This brush is round and by using it will give tons of volume and the soft bristles can make hair shinier. Volume can also be added to hair by teasing the underneath of top layers and adding hair spray for the all day hold. Another tip can be to use special volumizing and thickening shampoo and conditioner that gives the right amount of moister without weight your 'do down.
